Different phones have different display characteristics, backlight colour variations, image rendering restrictions due to file size, and supported file formats. Because of this we have a maximum width rendering of 90 pixels with vertical aspect ratio active. Your artwork will be matched to the 90 pixels width so any works with a short vertical ratio will render with diminished detail and visual impact.
Your 'icon' collection was displayed without any need for resizing.
