what is a Favicon :
favicon.ico is a small icon that some browsers display next to a bookmark when the site is viewed. sometimes, it's useful to display corporate logos on websites in this way.
favicon (short for "favorites icon"), also known as a page icon, is an icon associated with a particular website or web page. many web browsers—such as recent versions of Internet Explorer, Firefox, Mozilla, Opera, Safari, Avant and Konqueror—can then make use of them. browsers that support favicons may display them in the browser's address bar, next to the site's name in lists of bookmarks.
